If you’re searching for a Minneapolis wedding videographer who blends modern cinematic storytelling with the timeless beauty of Super 8 film, you’re in the right place. There’s something powerful about combining digital precision with nostalgic texture—and nowhere did that come together more perfectly than Johnny and Isabel’s wedding at The Minikahda Club last summer.
This day was a reminder of why I do what I do: capturing real emotion, elevated style, and moments that actually feel like something when you watch them back.
Located in the heart of Minneapolis, The Minikahda Club is one of the most iconic wedding venues in Minnesota. With its historic architecture, sweeping golf course views, and refined interior spaces, it offers a luxury experience that’s hard to match.
For Johnny and Isabel’s wedding, the venue delivered on every level:
Clean, editorial backdrops for portraits, a stunning natural light throughout the day, and elegant reception spaces that feel elevated but never stiff.
From a filmmaking perspective, it’s great. While there was some construction happening on the club last summer I shot drone a few days before and actually a year before just to have some clips of the venue with no construction.
There’s a reason more couples are searching for a Minneapolis Super 8 wedding videographer—it just hits different. It’s hard to explain unless you see it which is why I’ve posted it above.
Super 8 film brings the organic grain and texture, the soft highlight roll-off (perfect for wedding dresses), a nostalgic, emotional tone that digital alone can’t replicate.
At Johnny and Isabel’s wedding, we used Super 8 intentionally—not as a gimmick, but as a storytelling tool. The quiet in-between moments, the laughter during cocktail hour, the way Isabel’s dress moved in the wind—those are the moments that belong on film. I worked closely with Jordan Joseph Photography (link to website).
When layered into a final wedding video, Super 8 creates contrast. It gives your film depth. It makes it feel alive.
My approach as a Minneapolis wedding videographer is simple:
No forced moments. No cookie-cutter timelines. Just real, honest storytelling.
Johnny and Isabel’s day wasn’t about staging perfection—it was about letting moments unfold naturally:
That’s where the best films come from.
A wedding like this doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of an incredible team working together seamlessly.

Photography by Jordan Joseph Photography complemented the vision perfectly. Clean, editorial, and intentional—exactly the kind of collaboration that allows both photo and video to thrive without stepping on each other.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year to keep every film intentional and personal. No templates. No shortcuts. Just films that actually mean something.
