Minnesota Wedding Videographer and Super 8 Wedding Videographer
I had the honor of filming a beautiful wedding at The Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs in Chanhassen, Minnesota—and it was one of those days that reminded me why I love this work so much. Ashley + Chandu tied the knot of a Wednesday at the new venue on the Bavaria property and I was sooo excited to be able to work with some of my friends over at Bella gala. The Bavaria complex now houses 3 different venues on the property and all of them are gorgeous. You’ve got the Edward Anne Estate, The Woodland Glasshaus, and then Equestria West. Equestria west and the Edward Anne estate can accommodate large groups while The Woodland Glasshaus is a smaller 2 glass tent structure which might be better suited for a smaller wedding (under 125-150 ish) and features some incredible night time patio lounging. From filming there once I’d say this place is prime from 5:30pm-11pm. If you’re looking for an evening reception/ceremony and have a smaller wedding party this is the place for you.
After the only full time employee at Tim Thornburg Films left our only Super 8 camera on top of my car and it shattered, I borrowed one from my good friend Sarah Lindsey Gonzalez. Thank you Sarah. You are amazing.
Ok here’s a video clip I took while there.
The Glasshaus is already a stunning space—surrounded by woods, flooded with natural light, and full of character—but when it’s filled with love and the right people, it becomes something really special. From tearful vows to unfiltered dance floor moments, this day had it all. My goal with every film is to document weddings the way they actually felt. Real, honest, a little bit messy—and full of joy.
For this one, I got to incorporate a few of my favorite things: Super 8 film and drone shots at night. That combo brings such a unique vibe. The Super 8 reels add this soft, nostalgic texture—it feels like something you’d find in a box of old family movies. And then, when the sun went down, I launched the DJI Mavic 4 to capture some cinematic drone shots of the venue glowing at night. The string lights. The trees. The glass walls lit from the inside. It looked unreal from the sky.
I quit my corporate job in May of 2024 to go full-time into wedding filmmaking. I worked as a project manager for a good company—but I just knew I wanted to do this instead. I told myself that even if I made less money doing films, it’d still be worth it. And honestly, it has been.
I got here by a lot of answered prayers, a ton of support from friends and other vendors speaking kindly about me when I wasn’t in the room, and my mom telling me to take the leap even when the numbers didn’t make sense. So if you’re reading this—whether you follow me on socials, referred me to a couple, or booked me for your own wedding—thank you. I really mean it.
If you’re planning a wedding at Bavaria Downs or anywhere else in Minnesota, and you want a film that feels more like a memory than a movie—I’d love to be part of it. I film weddings with a mix of digital cinema, Super 8 film, and drone footage (yes, even at night bc this camera is soooo good). I only take on a limited number of weddings a year so I can give each couple the attention their story deserves.
Let’s make something meaningful together.
